Still in bloody Spain!
We checked out the 101 this morning brimming with hope... but the answer was "mañana". Groan. We hope it is indeed mañana, because if it's not finished on Wednesday, it won't be ready until next week, because the garage will be closed. If this happens we've decided we'll fly back to Blighty and come out again when it's done. Migrating from hotel to hotel, trying to entertain ourselves, is losing its attraction rapidly.
Today we visited Ronda, nothing to do with Wales but a picturesque mountaintop town cleaved in two by a fairly major gorge, with a fancy bridge on top which attracts lots of tourists. It had a surprisingly comprehensive museum, and occupied us for much of the day. However, we decided to head back to the coast to find a beach hotel to stay the night.
How difficult do you think it is to find a hotel on the Costa del Sol? Well, it took us a good couple of hours of cruising up and down... one was booked out by some football tournament or other, some were half-built, a couple just didn't exist at all. The whole coast here is developed, but the vast majority is villas and apartments. In the end we found one 4* hotel, which is a bit more top-end than we really had in mind, but is not too bad considering. The irony is, it's not even on the bloody beach!

I have just learned that the van has been released from intensive care and is now on its way towards Africa with relieved husband and wife at the wheel.
Hip hip hooray!
Thank heavens! See you in Dakar! Don't rush too much, can always delay my travels for a few days seeing as you have had such bad luck..
Very best site. Keep working. Will return in the near future.
