Another successful day. The 101 spent the day near Sidmouth, home of Gordon Finlay, LPG expert. Gordon diagnosed a duff dizzy cap, a faulty vacuum retarder, and a manky set of spark plugs; after replacement, tuning, timing and fiddling in general, I drove away with about 15-20% more power, which will also mean more fuel economy.

Whilst Gordon was delving around in the engine bay I also made up some brackets for the spotlights, which are mounted but not wired in, and replaced the headlights for something a bit more meaty. This means that I can actually see where I'm going in the dark.

At time of writing I'm furtively parked up down a dark Oxfordshire lane, ready to see the auto electrician in the morning.
